We then soon go back to our work where we the topic of “Spirituality” is introduced and we get to work! But the suggestions are abundant, and time flies, and the temperature rises quickly because of different opinions.

Infrastructure teamThe plenary sessions were full of suggestions, ideas, signs of change, but also reminders to not lose what is essential.

The importance of establishing criteria and processes of formation for members of the Verbum Dei Missionary Family was emphasized.

Jaime listening to the translationsThe debate continued in the afternoon, some of us struggled thinking that we’re not advancing, but Antonio Velasco encourages us and highlights the fact that perhaps, superficially what we’ve done may seem unproductive, but reminds us that the different experiences and realities that we have shared have been extremely important as a way of walking together and better understanding one another.

Translation teamWe then end the day with a marvelous Eucharist prepared by the Family of Mexico. As we enter the chapel we were given a little “guarachito” (sandal) and an image of Our Lady of Guadalupe. The celebration was full of very joyful songs, and the enthusiastic participation of all; the preaching of Emanuel with his youthful and colloquial language, encouraged us to trust in the Lord and in the strength of the Spirit who has brought each one of us to this beautiful place.
