Holy Family ChapelThis has been the hottest day! Yesterday we went to sleep thinking that although the day was arduous and fruitful, we were behind by two topics according to the program. Nevertheless, I have observed a great enthusiasm as we began this new day of work, and I think it is because we all have the feeling that having dedicated a great number of hours to reflecting on our identity, finality, and modes of belonging to the Verbum Dei was very valuable.

We were welcomed in the chapel by our companions from England and Hungary with a strong: “Good Morning Family”. The preaching of Aniko in Hungarian led us to the depths of being Family by means of the image of the Holy Family.

Presentation“The dialogue that God has with Mary and Joseph separately, makes the Yes of both and Jesus’ birth posible. It is the same dialogue that we are each called to unite ourselves to: it is the dialogue of Love that permits our unity in our differences.”

Raffaella from ItalyWhat a beautiful message! Prayer gave us an orientation and led us to center our attention on what the Word-Christ tells us in Ephesians 4:2-7, 21-27: our Family relationships are constructed through the loving dialogue which makes us humble, loveable, understanding, and help us maintain the ties of peace, united in the same Spirit. With this call we went to work. We began with the topic of: “Spirituality and Consecration”. The groups were much more unanimous on this point, and the plenary sesión allowed us to clear up some terminology and deepen on the content:

Monika from Slovakia, Oniko from Hungary, Natasha from Russia"Our spirituality is centered on the Word of God; it is contemplative – missionary and we aspire to live it consecrating ourselves to God from the personal call that God makes to us and from the communitarian call to the same charism."

The afternoon, much hotter still, led us to a refreshing topic, since it was so familiar to us, which allowed us to work in groups and in the plenary session in a very productive way: the Mission in the FaMVD. As each day, the Eucharist allowed us to give thanks for so many blessings. Today it was led by the communities in Italy and Russia. On this feast of St. Mary Magdalene we celebrated the 19 year anniversary of Ordination to the priesthood of Antonio and Guillermo. At night we ended with a presentation from the following communities: Central America, Mexico, Argentina, Peru, Brazil and Colombia.
