Sources of Spirituality
Our sources of our spirituality, are based in Sacred Scripture, Tradition and the Magesterium of the Church.
They are:

"The Eucharist signifies and effects the union of all people in One. Its own particular fruit is communion . It is the sacrament and sacrifice which fundamentally constitutes Christian fraternity. Nourished by the Eucharistic bread, the apostle becomes a brother or sister to all, creating in this way a universal fraternity." (Verbum Dei Constitutions, 61) "The Eucharist is the forge where, in intimate transforming dialogue, the genuine personality of a missionary is shaped and formed, making each one a witness throughout the whole world. Before the tabernacle we translate and transform into life all the truths of our faith that we should propagate to all people; so that they may 'have life and have it to the full'." (Verbum Dei Constitutions, 62) |

"The Total Christ, Head and members, provide the most appropriate composition of place for our daily prayer and mission. This personal encounter and specific mission leave us vitally and necessarily bound to the living Christ who needs and claims us with all our beings. This Christ constitutes our complete full-time dedication which unifies and integrates our whole person, and is the most pressing and compelling reason for our preaching. In this manner, our preaching becomes inescapably urgent and powerfully takes hold of all our spousal love, and paternal and maternal love, for the sake of the wounded members of Christ, our brothers and sisters who most suffer in the world." (Verbum Dei Constitutions 64) "For the fraternity and for each person in particular, it is precisely this Total, living and true Christ of today who is the main reason and primary cause of our vocation, mission and of our comtemplative-active life. For this real and living Christ, we have wanted to give up everything, everyone, even ourselves, not for the sake of poverty or solitude, but for the urgency of his love for all people." (Verbum Dei Constitutions 65) |

"Mary, Mother of God and of the Church, will always occupy a unique, decisive and irreplacelable place in Verbum Dei. Mary impels and guides the growing rhythm of our life of prayer and apostolate, orientating and determining the development and configuration of our fraternity in both it's ecclesiastical and universal dimensions" (Verbum Dei Constitutions 66) "The presence of the Mother will accompany our laborious days of missionary work, sustained by a living and proven faith and by the joy of redeeming love. She will foster in us a life of maximum apostolic fruitfulness, forming Jesus in us and in our brothers and sisters". (Verbum Dei Constitutions 67) |
